How To Ride CART

Arrive at a designated stop or the far side of an intersection five minutes early. Drivers only stop when someone is waiting at the stop or if someone on the bus is exiting. Some stops are equipped with shelters and benches for comfort.

When the bus is approximately a block away from an upcoming stop, pull the signal cord located above the bus windows. This will notify the driver an intention to exit at the next bus stop.

Before boarding the bus, check the route name displayed on the front of the bus to ensure it is the correct route. Please allow a clear path to all exiting passengers before boarding. As a courtesy, when senior adults and riders with disabilities board, please allow them to sit in seats at the front of the bus.

Please remain seated until the bus has come to a complete stop. After exiting, wait until the bus has pulled away from the stop before crossing the street.

A CART bus driver is an immediate source for information concerning bus routes, bus passes or any other questions concerning CART system. Please feel free to ask any driver questions or call the CART office at 325-CART(2278).
